MARC SADLER

Born in Austria to French parents, Marc Sadler has lived and worked across France, the United States, Asia and Italy. Among the first graduates in Industrial Design (Esthétique Industrielle) at ENSAD in Paris, he is widely recognised as a pioneer in materials research and in the cross-pollination of technologies, defining elements of his design philosophy.

In the early 1970s, he developed the world’s first ski boot entirely made from recyclable thermoplastic material, later industrialised by the Italian company Caber, marking a breakthrough in both performance and sustainability.

Today, his eclectic and forward-thinking approach leads him to collaborate with companies across a wide range of industrial sectors. A four-time winner of the Compasso d’Oro, along with multiple ADI Honorable Mentions and numerous international awards, Sadler’s work continues to stand at the intersection of innovation, research and design excellence.
