MARC SADLER
Born in Austria to French parents, Marc Sadler has lived and worked across France, the United States, Asia and Italy. Among the first graduates in Industrial Design (Esthétique Industrielle) at ENSAD in Paris, he is widely recognised as a pioneer in materials research and in the cross-fertilisation of technologies — defining a design approach where innovation, performance and aesthetics converge.
In the early 1970s, he developed the world’s first ski boot entirely made from recyclable thermoplastic material, later industrialised by the Italian company Caber, marking a breakthrough in both technology and sustainability.
A four-time winner of the Compasso d’Oro, Sadler collaborates today with leading companies across multiple industrial sectors. His work stands as a reference in contemporary design, where material innovation and timeless elegance meet.
